Our roomy glamping pod seems to be sitting at the top of the world in the centre of mainland Scotland, with “big sky” views across the surrounding fields and down to the picturesque Strathearn valley.

The landscaped site on which The Pigsty stands is in a quiet corner of our working arable farm, visited by a wide range of wildlife, including roe deer, hares and hedgehogs, abuzz with butterflies in the summer. It’s a twitcher’s paradise, with everything from red kites to robins, Redwings to white wagtails, so don’t forget your binoculars.

The fields on our small farm are planted with crops like winter wheat, spring barley and beans. We’ve also got some dedicated areas planted up with bird feed crops and pollinator to encourage wildlife to enjoy spending time on our farm.

What will strike you most is probably how very quiet and peaceful the site of The Pigsty is. It’s truly a sublime and romantic spot that we’re sure you’ll want to return to time and again.
